Mark Your Calendars for this Important Upcoming Deadline!
Did you know that there are only 32 days left until February 15th, the deadline to enroll in health insurance coverage via the insurance marketplaces? If you haven’t already done so, now is the time to get covered. Enrolling in comprehensive and affordable health care coverage is a critical first step to protecting your health. So carve out some time over the next couple of weeks and get started at the www.healthcare.gov website. Before you begin, you can also get help from a call center, or in-person if that’s easier for you.
If you already have insurance, this is your opportunity to nudge your friends, family and community members to get covered. Applying does take time, but it can be relatively easy with the right help. Your computer-savvy friends will have an easy time navigating the online enrollment system. But some people you know may need support to interpret complicated coverage terms such as premiums, deductibles and co-pays. For women in particular, it is critically important to know exactly what you (and your family members) are getting for your money. As you know, women are often the people whom others turn to when making important decisions about health insurance. In fact, women make 80% of the health care decisions for their families. We’re working overtime through our Raising Women’s Voices for the Health Care We Need project, expanding our efforts to reach more women with information that helps them and their families get covered.
Help us reach more women by spreading this message to your community members, friends and family!
