The National Women’s Health Network (“NWHN” or “we”) shares your concern about the protection of your personal information on the online. NWHN collects the following information about website users: personal information users voluntarily provide by participating on our website; and tracking data which is automatically collected (see “cookies” section further below).

Personal information can be voluntarily collected as follows:

when making an online donation through our website;
completing a sign-up form;

sending website content to a friend;
submitting a health request to Women’s Health Voice (WHV); or
sharing your story.

We also use your information on an aggregated basis to do such things as operate our website and statistically analyze website usage, including the behavior of our visitors, to improve the content, layout and upgrade the website.

Occasionally, NWHN’s membership list is shared with other like-minded organizations. Members who prefer not to have their name shared may opt-out of this by contacting NWHN via email at or by phone at 202-682-2640. We will not sell or rent your non-public information to any individual, business, government or organization (e.g. name, address, email, phone number). As a general rule, except as otherwise contemplated in this Privacy Policy, we will not disclose identifiable information without your permission or under special circumstances, such as when a law requires it. If personally identifiable data about you will be shared; we will tell you, whenever possible, before we transfer the data.



NWHN collects data through the use of cookies to track website usage. The main purpose of cookies for many websites are for record-keeping. The website provides a feature that allows users to share online content with their friends. If you decide to use this feature, an email address of both you and the recipient will be required. This personal information is used solely to send the content to the recipient.

If you decide to share your story and/or photos, we reserve the right to edit your story and post it at our discretion. By submitting your story, you give NWHN the permission to edit the content to fit the goals and objectives of each activity.
